  1. Wandelbots acts as controller of your personal data when you visit our website, sign up for our newsletter, interact with us regarding the order of services, etc.

  2. Wandelbots acts as processor with respect to the personal data we process on behalf of our customers, for the fulfillment of the services as specified in the Wandelbots General Terms and Conditions and the underlying order(s), under the Wandelbots Data Processing Agreement.

 

This privacy policy stipulates how Wandelbots processes personal data with regards to the processing operations for which Wandelbots acts as controller.

2. Why and how we process personal data

a) When you visit our website

Our website collects your personal data each time you visit the website and is stored in the server’s log files. We evaluate this collected data and information statistically, on the one hand to improve the user experience and also with the aim of increasing the data protection and data security of our enterprise, and to ensure an optimal level of protection for the personal data we process. The data of the server log files are stored separately from other personal data you may provide.


Personal data we collect

Each time you visit our website, data is automatically recorded and stored in the server’s log files. The following data can be recorded:

  1. browser types and versions used,

  2. the operating system used by the accessing system,

  3. the website from which an accessing system arrives at our website (so-called referrer,

  4. the date and time of an access to the website,

  5. the length of time a visitor spends on a subpage of our website,

  6. an Internet protocol address (IP address),

  7. the Internet service provider of the accessing system.

b) When you use Wandelbots NOVA

When you use Wandelbots NOVA; we process personal data as a processor, which is regulated in the Data Processing Agreement. However, we also process personal data as a controller. When using our products and services you share certain contact, feedback and usage data. We may analyze this data to improve and optimize our products and services, as well as to provide you with offers of further products and services.

Personal data we may collect

  • User/login data (name, email address, GitHub account if applicable, registration date, recent login activity)

  • License data (email address, type of license)

  • Product metrics data (email address, click path in UI, API requests)

  • Browser data (browser type, browser language)

  • Geolocation data (IP address)

 

Purposes and legal bases

To communicate with you about the product and services (for example sending transactional emails) - Article 6(1)(b) GDPR

To process payments for paid use of the products and services - Article 6(1)(b) GDPR

To create your user account - Article 6(1)(b) GDPR

To authenticate you when you sign into your user account - Article 6(1)(b) GDPR

We store personal data for the duration of the service provision and only retain data beyond this period, where necessary to comply with legal obligations (for example: we retain transaction data to comply with tax law obligations).

c) When you contact us via website or email and/or request a demo

If you contact us by e-mail or via the forms provided on our website, the personal data you provide will be automatically stored in various ways depending on the reason you contacted us. If we exchange e-mails with you, we will see how you interact with our automated reactions, for example if you click any links within those e-mails. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) f) GDPR. In this case our legitimate interest in processing your data is a better understanding of your interests in our company.

d) When you subscribe to our newsletter

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your personal data to confirm the listed email address, and, when successful, to send you the newsletter. Our newsletters contain so-called tracking pixels. A tracking pixel is a miniature graphic that is embedded in emails to enable log file recording and log file analysis. This enables a statistical evaluation of the success or failure of online marketing campaigns. By means of the embedded tracking pixel, we can see whether and when the newsletter was opened and which links were called up by you from the newsletter.

e) When you apply to a vacant position

When you apply to a vacant position, we process your personal data to process the application. If the application is successful and leads to a offer, your personal data is also processed to prepare the employment contract.

After completion of the application process, we will either transfer incoming applications to the personnel file, or, if the application is rejected, delete them after a period of 12 months, in order to be able to answer any follow-up questions to the application.

f) When you are the target of advertising / leads generation

As a company, we are always trying to win new customers for our products and services and maintain relations with existing customers. We therefore collect and process personal data from potential interested parties and their contact persons within the scope of our legitimate interest to expand our customer base. The same applies to the processing of data of current and former customers and their contact persons, whom we would like to encourage through our continued advertising activities to purchase our products and use our services again in the future.  ​

g) When you are recorded (photo or video) at a Wandelbots event

During a Wandelbots event, we take photographs and videos of the event. Hence, when you visit such event, you may appear on one of the photos or video recordings that are taken during the event We want to underline that we do not intend to single out individual visitors. The pictures/videos are meant to provide a general “feeling” of the event. If you do not want to appear on a photo or a video published on our website, LinkedIn or similar media, please notify us.

Photos and/or videos that are not used for promotional material, are deleted without undue delay. Promotional material will be stored until it is deemed longer necessary.

Your personal data remains in the EU/EEA.

 

3. Data subject rights

You have the following data subject rights:
 

a) The right to access

You have the right to obtain confirmation from us as to whether or not personal data concerning you are being processed, and, where that is the case, access to the personal data and the information listed in Article 15(1) GDPR and a copy of this information.
 

b) The right to rectification

You have the right to request that we correct any inaccurate personal data relating to you without undue delay. Taking into account the purposes of the processing, you also have the right to request the completion of incomplete personal data – also by means of a supplementary declaration.
 

c) The right to erasure

You have the right to obtain from us the erasure of your personal data without undue delay if any of the conditions listed in Article 17(1) GDPR are met, unless the exception laid down in Article 17(3) applies to your request.

 d) The right to restriction of processing

You have the right to obtain from us the restriction of processing of your personal data if any of the conditions listed in Article 18(1) GDPR are met.

 

e) The right to data portability

You have the right to receive the personal data concerning you that you have provided to us in a structured, common and machine-readable format, if the processing is based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) or contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Furthermore, you have the right to request us to transfer this data to another controller.

 

f) The right to object

You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of your personal data concerning you which is carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. This also applies to profiling based on these provisions. We will no longer process the personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims.

 

g) The right to withdraw your consent

You have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of personal data at any time (if the processing is based on your consent). You can do this without specifying any reason.

 

h) The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

Should you wish to contact a supervisory authority regarding your queries about data protection, you may address your concerns and enquiries to the Saxon Data Protection Commissioner. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. However, we urge you to first contact us, to see whether we can fix any issues, or take away any concerns you may have.
